The photographer Alexander Rieser was born in Austria 1975 and is living part time in Colombia where he is working as a photojournalist. He is spezialiced in environmental portraits, editorial photography and documentary photography. He has published photos in various international magazines and newspapers e.g. O Globo (BR), Semana (COL), FastCompany (USA), Neon (GER), Nido (GER) and has worked as a photographer for NGOs and the Red Cross. The photographer has a base in Austria and Colombia.
In December 2009 the photographer published his first book "Pa'lante: A journey through Colombia (ISBN: 978-0-973926-4-5), with black & white images from his time in Colombia.
One of his ongoing projects is to document the indigenous peoples of Colombia which are one of the main victims of the uninterrupted internal conflict in the country.
The photographer Alexander Rieser speaks German, English and Spanish. Currently he is based in Austria and available world wide for editorial, photojournalism, documentary photography, photo reportage and environmental portrait assignments.
